What you see before you is a marching band from the 1950’s. They are Irish Guardsmen. Now the strange thing is that there is a bassoon player in the marching band. Bassoons cannot march. They’d break a reed every two or three steps. This is not the first time I’ve ever seen a vintage marching-Guardsmen-with-a-bassoon photo. I wonder how they did it.
